SALESPERSON LICENSE AS OF 4/30/11If you have a salesperson license as of 4/30/11 the expiration date will automatically be extended til 4/30/12 at which time it will expire and can not be renewed. You will need to upgrade to a Brokers License to continue to practice real estate in Illinois. |

SALESPERSON UPGRADE TO BROKER FROM 5/1/11 to 4/30/12There will be 2 choices to upgrade. 1st choice; Pass a proficiency exam AND complete 18 hours of CE (9 core and 9 elective). 2nd choice; Complete a 30 hour course AND exam. |

BROKER LICENSE AS OF 4/30/11 NOT UPGRADING TO MANAGING BROKERIf you have a Brokers License as of 4/30/11, will be sponsored by another Broker at 4/30/12, and do not upgrade to a Managing Broker License, you will need to complete 12 hours of CE (6 core and 6 elective) for your 4/30/12 renewal. |

MANAGING BROKERS REGISTERED W/IDFPR AS OF4/30/11 UPGRADING TO MANAGING BROKER LICENSE If you are currently designated as a managing broker with the IDFPR and going to upgrade to the Managing Broker License will be 2 choices to upgrade. 1st choice; Pass a proficiency exam AND complete 24 hours of CE (6 core, 6 elective, and 12 Broker Management). 2nd choice; Complete a 45 hour course plus exam AND 12 hours of CE (6 core and 6 elective). |

SELF SPONSORED BROKERS (SOLE PROPRIETOR WITH NO OTHER SPONSORED LICENSEES)If you fit in this group, you will be required to upgrade your license to the Managing Broker License. We are still waiting for clarification on whether you will be considered a managing broker as of 4/30/11 and if so, the above choices will apply. If not you will need to complete a 45 hour course plus exam AND 24 hours of CE (6 core, 6 elective, and 12 Broker Management). |
