ILLINOIS REAL ESTATE CE REQUIREMENTS
Illinois Real Estate Licensee's are required to complete approved Continuing Education as part of their License renewal. License's expire every 2 years. Salesperson's on April 30th of the odd numbered years and Broker's on April 30th of the even numbered years. The courses must be IDFPR approved and completed thru IDFPR licensed schools. For every 3 hours of CE you must pass a 25 question, closed book exam with a score of 70% or better. The maximum number of classroom hours you can take per day is 6, but there is no limit on home study or the amount of hours you can test for per day.
12 hours of Continuing Education needed for your Real Estate License renewal. Illinois state approved Core A and B courses 6 hours mandatory #564.001486 and #564.001487 plus 6 hours of state approved electives.
The ethics quadrennial requirement IS NOT a State of Illinois education requirement. It is a National Association of Realtors® membership requirement. If you ARE NOT A MEMBER of the NAR you are NOT required to do this course but can for three hours of elective CE credit . If you are a member you have 2 choices. You can do it online for free to satisfy your membership requirement by clicking "HERE"OR sign up with us to complete it and also receive 3 elective hours of CE credit.
